Your car’s starter does just what the name says, starts your car. When you turn your car’s ignition, your vehicle’s electrical system transfers some of your car battery’s electrical power to the starter. Signs of a bad starter can also be the same signs of a battery going bad, so if you notice signs like labored cranking, or hearing a clicking/grinding sound, it may be your starter.
